This feels like something you’d see in the developing nations

Thsts where I was, lots of ingredients I couldn't get, still there's a war on don't you know, we need more of the Dunkirk spirit
Yeah it’s frightening isn’t it. We’ve gone from sunlit uplands to having no veg. And people still laugh and joke about it. Terrifying really

And now your calling me ignorant, what a vile aggressive individual you are. For someone who likes to play the victim on here you don’t half like to dish it out.
In this case you are ignorant. You’re ignorant of the food shortages we currently have in this country. Which is a scary thing to be ignorant about

Wow, you think not being able to buy basic foodstuffs is a first world problem? I mean seriously?
I see what you saying, but people are not going hungry yet, they are alternatives with the shortages.

if things get worse than it may not be a ‘first world problem’ but to say it is right now is a little hyperbole

edit - they are hungry people in this country, this is caused by Tory Britain and not the current shortages

the shortages will be putting more people at risk depending on where these shortages are, I suspect people who are close to the breadline probably don’t choose Sainsbury’s mind

I previously thought you got abit of a hard time on here and previously on cob but now I can see through it and why. You literally go out of Your way to start arguments. I’ve had enough of your snide passive agressive tone I don’t have time for childish individuals who like to stamp their feet and throw tantrums. Thank god their is an ignore function on this site.

It’s not a great thing though, can we at least acknowledge that. Regardless what you think of the event that caused it (spoiler: it isn’t COVID) can we at least agree that running out of food isn’t a good thing. I’m amazed some people on here thinks it’s a laughing matter

I don't know if you lot regularly ship for food but if you go to my local Sainsbury's after 4 they've run out of loads of things. They ran out of chicken once. The only time anything out of the usual happened was during the first couple of weeks of the first lockdown. Seemed pretty normal when I went a couple of days ago. Maybes it's regional.

Ye sorry I did an edit around my post cos I wasn’t happy with my comment around people aren’t going hungry so felt I had to clarify that

Last trip to Sainsbury's (last Friday) and there are strange things missing. Hardly any biscuits (no Rich Tea or Digestives and little choice of what they did have) for example. Not exactly a cause for concern. Fresh veg and fruit seemed OK but there wasn't much choice in pasta.

I don't think it is anything to do with Brexit it is the shortage of delivery drivers due to people isolating.

I mean Brexit is a total clusterfukk but this is just "The Pingdemic" I believe.

These shortages are going to be in small pockets, where the shortage or drivers. Companies will be deciding which stores go without if they can’t deliver it.

Poor attempt at scaremongering this thread, certain things missing from certain shops shocker. Some shops have a lot more traffic than others and stuff will run out. Go back tomorrow morning and it will be restocked.
