This Depression lark

Depression is horrible and sometimes hard to get out off ..
The illness wants me to suffer , but if I can take just one small step of action , I find it lifts from me.
Sometimes doing anything positive is impossible, if that's the case , I can just sit with them thoughts and know for certain that " THIS WILL PASS". It always passes , just try and remember that mate.
Some helpful tips that help me are
I'm not my thoughts
This too Shall Pass
I'm only as happy as I make my mind up to be
Help someone ( takes away thoughts of self )
Meditation ( even one minute a day )
Gratitude list ( write 10 things good in life )
Most important I believe is to keep talking/ sharing / typing / reaching out.
That way your not in your own thoughts and also your helping someone else like you are doing right now for being honest.
Oh and finally , breathing . Just 6 deep and slow breaths in and out can take away that dread from the Pit of my Stomach. It's crazy though how many days I forget to do such a simply act of self love
