Partly wrong he did play in MF but he move to FB at Charlton before we bought him.Didn't Dijksteel play RCM for Charlton, and then Woodgate moved him to RB? Could be wrong.

Didn't NW try him a couple of times as a DM and he was a bit lightweight so gave up on that project?Partly wrong he did play in MF but he move to FB at Charlton before we bought him.
Why, there is zero benefit from that but lots of issues to be created. A post mortem should be done behind closed doors.I really hope Wilder comes out and publically criticises the recruitment team.
How on earth have we failed to sign a DM yet again - we still don't have one at the club.
He started of CDM for Charlton, then they moved him to RB, we signed him as a RB/RWB and he hasn't played CDM for probably 3 or 4 years nowDidn't Dijksteel play RCM for Charlton, and then Woodgate moved him to RB? Could be wrong.
Wilder has said he won’t do that though.opportunity for one or two kids to make a mark,
45 minutes, wow! Needs to be more consistent as he has all the attributesMcNair was outstanding for the 2nd half at QPR, unless I dreamt it. Just need someone who can play the first 45 minutes without struggling to keep up.
More square pegs in round holes. We've been doing it for years and never learn.Wilder has said he won’t do that though.
Instead we’ll move senior pros around.

Well yeah both of those, but if Wilder is planning on moving senior pros around instead of playing younger players in their natural position it will be square pegs in round holes. Also, I'm not convinced that Giles is a natural wing back, or Jones for that matter. They'd be much better suited to playing as wingers with proper full backs behind them.Who are the square pegs in round holes? McNair? Nobody knows whether he’s a defender or midfielder anyway do they? McGree? He’s playing off the front and I personally feel like he’s been playing pretty well. Who else?
As a supporter, I'd like some transparency from the manager. It's inevitable that he'll be asked about our transfer business, so I hope he's honest and says that he's disappointed that we didn't bring in two midfielders. Why, there is zero benefit from that but lots of issues to be created. It is fair to say we have had an enormous overhaul in the last 3 months. Around 25 deals have had to be struck. Only 3 teams in the championship have spent more than us, ok we've probably received the highest income also, but it's a huge amount of work done. It's a shame that we are short, it's an opportunity for one or two kids to make a mark, but as fans it is disappointing.

That's fair enough. I was frustrated that we didn't manage to get the two midfielders we need in through the door but we have to accept it and hope that we get lucky with regards to injuries until January.you'll never get transparency, the vast majority of statements in public will be different behind closed doors and so they should be

Then hopefully, come January we'll sign a defensive midfielder. I mean, the recruitment team have only had three transfer windows to sort it.
