Think we’ve got problems? Look at Man United

Over £1bn spent in transfer fees alone since Ferguson left, easily beaten by Palace tonight and look totally disjointed.

Looks like they need a whole first choice defence, de Gea is regressive whilst Pogba clearly doesn‘t want to be there, James is Championship quality and the manager is out of his depth. Centre forward needed, another 2 attacking players and McTominay is about as effective as Saville.

Could be another long stretch without winning a title. 😀

Could be in the bottom 3 by the end of the weekend's fixtures.:sneaky:

I don't believe we'll find this out any time soon, but I'm cynical about whether they would actually ever be relegated. Someone else might mysteriously be docked points on some trumped up charge.

Man U are just to important to the marketability of TV rights.

Their problem isn't signing players. It's having Ole as their manager.

He's completely out of his depth and they will never win anything whilst he's in charge.

No doubt they'll go panic buy after today's result - just like Spurs have done after their result last week.

I must say, it's fantastic to watch them fail and lose both on and off the pitch, whilst their main rivals both play fantastic football and win trophies.

The Internet is a wash with UTD fans (or followers) who are moaning that they don't spend money and the board are holding them back😂

They have spent a fecking fortune. They are one of the highest payers. They don't know they are born. He's us celebrating spending 2.7mil😂

Give me watching the Boro anyday.....i just don't see the appeal of supporting these 'super' clubs. Especially if you ain't born anywhere near.

Done a great job signing slightly above average players for many years. Made one error by signing Fernandes, but other than that look good to fight for a top 9 spot this year.

Shocking that they are continuing with De Gea when they have Henderson, he looks absolutely finished.

They can spend as much as they like on players, but with a championship standard manager you will never challenge at the very top.

Man Utd will never achieve the lever Fergie reached, he was as good as, Cloughy, not better mind
He bought unknown players & they blossomed under his management, his big failing at United was staying a couple of seasons to long, he should have gone when he 1st said he would
IMHO, no other present manager comes close

You see them paying best part of 500k+ a week on two GKs. It's obscene 😕

The money going out of that club on wages every week is frankly disgusting. If you think clubs go under for 500k or less. I just can't get my head around such figures.

it is but they are not the only club laying out an unfathomable amount of wages. It is disgusting across a lot of the Premier League if that is the way you class it.

It's a great club Manchester United. I don't get the hate and envy from people on here. Unfortunately for them, they will spend many years without a title winning side. They are miles behind.

The problem with Man Utd - they're a little like Newcastle in that they think they deserve success

Although Man Utd are obviously way more successful than Newcastle, it's a similar mentality

I’m from the generation where at school everyone “supports” Man Utd because they were winning everything.
I was regularly defending my support of Boro.

Nowadays the few of these I still have contact with are worth it for the comedy value alone. Like Juninho said above, they all feel it’s their right to win every game and win trophies. I feel really sorry for them of course 😏

This is why I’ve always, and always will, hated Man Utd. Although I let them off twice a year, when they play the Geordies. Hate them more!

Remember going to a Boro match against Man Utd in the (very) early '80s. The 2 little lads across the road were Liverpool fans (naturally ). They both shouted "ahhhh he's a Man U fan", simply couldn't grasp or conceive of the fact that I was supporting the Boro :D. Glory hunters.(n)
