Things you're looking forward to next season

I really like and enjoy the Championship for many of the reasons already stated and not too worried about the Premier, the only downside is that if any our players get really good, the chances are we will lose them to Premier team and there is nothing we can do about it

5 out of 12 matches will be shown on TV every Saturday.

We've had around 28 weekend matches this season so would expect around 13 of them to be put on TV next season.

Maybe 15 x Saturday 3pm kick offs next season = 7 or 8 home Saturday 3pm kick offs.

This was also a factor in me not getting an ST next season.

@fmttmadmin might be able to give more info on this. But this is the way I have understood it.
There's 2 sides to this; whether we are shown on TV or whether games are moved, so it is difficult to quantify and some people will care about one more than the other.

40% of weekend games in the 'normal' weekend rounds will be moved, however I'm sure they will also stagger games around the 'special' weekends, which are first and last games and Christmas, New Year and Easter.

They're also showing all the League Cup matches and every midweek league game.

Yeah, I personally don't care whether it's on TV or not as I can watch any match I want through IPTV. It's the daft kick off times I don't like.

I know clubs are desperate for tv money but i think we have sold our soul to sky. I think the negative impact on football attendance will be far greater than first anticipated

As soon as this season ends, I will be looking forward to next season. I will get the same buzz walking along Dockside Road for the first home game as I used to get walking to Ayresome Park. I just can't imagine doing anything else on a Saturday (maybe) afternoon hopefully).

That optimism that comes from the hours before first game is great.

Football is back and you have that structure back into your weekends, but a balls not been kicked, you cant see how rubbish your new signings are, and you're not trying to work out permutations of other results to avoid relegation.

The sun is hopefully shining on the stadium as you walk to the ground after a few beers in town with your match going mates - cant beat it !
