I disagree with you on this mate, completely different way of hitting the ball, he was looking for a chipped passHe tried to put his boot through it and didn't connect properly.

He was trying a chipped pass to Crooks. The first goal wasn't down to style of play or trying to play it out from the back.
It was just a bad clearance from Barlaser.

Yeah I’ve just seen it back on the EFL highlights too, I thought it was a pass at the time but seeing it back now on the EFL highlights it confirms it, he definetly has a look up at Crooks and goes for like a floated pass towards him. With hindsight he should have kicked it up the pitch but suppose it’s the way we play. I’m more annoyed with McNair for not winning the header against the tiny Dan James to be honest. You reckon?
They've not included the build-up in the quick highlights, so I can't watch it back, I'd taken it as him slipping when he was trying to hit out, but I've not seen it back since the game.
Fair enough if it was, that's just bad decision making on his part then.

The choice of pass was correct for the way we play, his execution was poor. He could and perhaps in the circumstances, just after we had scored, have just lamped it to break up play.Fair enough if it was, that's just bad decision making on his part then.
nobody is talking about hoofing it every time are they but there are times when it would be more prudent than messing about at the back when under pressure.Just hoofing an aimless ball up the pitch every time and basically gifting the opposition the ball? That’s hardly a sustainable way to play
Yes you may get caught in the press but once we beat the press then it usually results in a goal scoring chance
Spot on. The thing is, we all know these 2, and Barlaser aren't good enough for what we are trying to achieve.I really don’t get why McNair and Dijksteel didn’t just jump, that would have been enough even if they didn’t win the ball. It’s as though we never sense any danger at all.
