The yellow boxes at junctions

Can I add distances from the car in front to box junctions too?

It is annoying and dangerous how close people get to cars in front. It is a regular occurrence that people cut in front of me, as I’m leaving a decent distance from the car in front. Also people that overtake then go in front too quickly forcing the car behind to brake. That is ridiculously stupid driving.

I don't think the yellow box works at the Southern Cross traffic lights. At peak times if you're heading down from Dixons Bank to Marton Road the exit from the box is never empty as the filter lane from Stainton Way is not traffic light controlled.
It’s the same on an evening with traffic coming off the parkway at the Rudds slip road and turning right. People just keep coming, even when on red, and filling up the box. It then blocks people going up towards Marton shops and down. There’s been times when I’ve sat through three rounds of lights before being clear to move.

I hate people who stop in them but hate people who stop on a zebra crossing or pelican crossing. I see it all the time at Marton shops even when the schools are coming out. Just idiots.

Since most people pass their tests in their teenage years they tend to have forgotten most of the rules of the road by the time they are older, like speeding, not indicating, any form of dangerous driving
I passed my test when I was 17. I'm now in my 50s and I still know the highway code enough to pass the theory test they have now. I passed it first time on the daughter's laptop 10 years ago when she was struggling with it. I just think we had better instructors back then.
