The weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon folks, hope you're all well and enjoying the hot weather. On a personal level I feel like I'm about to combust when it gets above about 10 degrees so not really one for the heat but at least Mrs WG is enjoying it and as she regularly tells me, that's all that matters

In suggesting a beer this week I thought I'd plump for one of my go to beers whenever I see it and that's the magnificent Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Really is a lovely pint and while I'm sure most of you are familiar with it, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a go to anyone who has never had it before.



In starting the music off this week, I've gone for a Queens of the Stone Age track in the hope I've managed to secure a ticket for the gig in Stockton. My mate was trying to get tickets first thing this morning but he hasn't been in touch yet, so fingers crossed!

I went to see these the other night, and they were one of the best things I've seen this year. they should have headlined, but were a bit of a late addition.

In addition I'm going to see Peter Gabriel on Monday, but haven't been blown away by his pre gig releases

I'm going to hell. I'm a murderer. I just tried to rescue a bee that had flown into the conservatory with the usual glass and a coaster technique and I messed it up and I chopped it in half. I feel terrible about it. I really like bees..
