The Unofficial "Official" Match Day Thread. Mighty Boro v Bristol City.

Didn’t say that was their only problem but it clearly doesn’t help, lost so many goals through shots that’s gone through him or shots he’s spilled into his box.
How can anyone be defending the keeper here, F***ing hell if we’re not expecting him to do better with some of these goals we’ve set our standards a bit low.
How anyone can watch those goals, a one on one, a man unmarked from 8 yards and a free header and blame the keeper is absolutely beyond me. It's just ignoring what's happening on the field and picking a scapegoat. Since Britt's not on the field that's Bettinelli.

Mendez Laing comes on. I suppose he needs a run out, but Johnson's had a great season and it should be his place to lose.

34 goals conceded, very little creativity and minging up front.
What exactly are our strong points?
Neil has got them grafting (usually) and this has papered over a lot of cracks.

Hope cuddly grandad Neil turns back into the monster seen on that infamous Sheff Utd half time teamtalk video

Every time we have a chance of getting to to the playoffs or build some momentum we just shoot ourselves in the foot. It’s so damn frustrating, it really is.

He would have got the ball if he carried on coming out for the third, not come out a bit, stop then give the striker an easy finish. McNair saved him earlier when he completely missed the ball coming out too

First goal I do
Look Bettinelli isn't great, but you're laying blame in the wrong place here.....

Blame McNair for not marking his man (who crossed it freely) and then Fry who was nowhere near his man who had a free header on the 6 yard box. Both of these would be criminal at schoolboy level.

Zero of that is the keepers fault, unless he's also playing as both centre backs too?

Nevermind champions league has started on the other side. At least you can turn it over unless you have sadomasachistic tendencies

Or he could have taken his man down and been sent off. His starting position was wrong. But he's been the best of our defenders who have been abysmal. Getting through on goal from the halfway line is an absolute joke.
