Not sure why Ikpeazu is being discussed, especially at this point in time. Firstly he's at Cardiff at the moment and secondly, given that he was sent out on loan by Wilder, I've a feeling he's unlikely to be with us next season.
He won’t be with us, he can’t play the system but apparently people can’t even see basic things like that. He’s a good player Ikpeazu but when you’re a pressing side that rely on the front two to maintain pressure on the defence for 90 minutes he is useless. If we don’t get that right then everything falls apart.

Whether he would take more chances than Connolly or Balogun is irrelevant. When you play the way we do it’s like the priority for attributes required are flipped for your strikers, usually you would think excellent finisher and bonus that he works hard. In our side the works hard needs to come first and the bonus is finishing 😂

Nailed it.

I like Ikpeazu, but he just does not suit our style, so where he may score 5 or so more goals, it's not relevant, what is most relevant is the total team goals scored, least conceded, and points gained. The new system works, even if our strikers are not great at scoring, it's made up by the press/ speed/ fitness.

Keeping Ikpeazu for when we roll a different dice would not be a bad idea (as opposed to say Coburn), but each of our forwards although relatively similar still have quite a few differences, so we still have options. We looked like we went to a back 4 last night after half time, which worked really well with the added energy too, and were missing Crooks, Payero, Bola, Fisher etc.

Futures very bright I think, this is the best squad situation we've been in since 2007-08, and can include AK's promotion winning side in that too. I think this side is better, and it's better set up with a lot more options.

I won't even be mad if we don't go up this year, or even get play offs (which I think we will), as I think we could walk it next year with very minor changes. The teams coming down are awful, and we're better than just about anyone in the league already I think (under Wilder). I even think we're better than Fulham if you take Mitro away (but he shouldn't be playing in this league, it's a one off).

I agree 100% Andy. I won’t be too disappointed if we miss out on promotion. I know there is the argument that we may lose important assets but I just don’t want to see us promoted only to struggle again big time. I am optimistic of the future. A strong manager, a young squad and players worth £20m plus.
