The simple short passing has been really poor by both sides. If we can just do the simple stuff we’ll and get our heads up and play in open players instead of trying for wonder goals we could easily win these by 3 or 4.
 
After 15 min I thought, I'll take a0-0 here.
But now we can see they have no confidence at all. This game is there for the taking. One bit of class in their penalty area could see us home.
Shame that Engal volley didn't go in what a goal that would have been!
 
Decent half of football I thought.
A few poor touches and passes. Should have scored at least once. Usual issues with some poor final passes and finishing, but we grew stronger as it went on.

Yeah he’s finally settled in, I think he was a victim of unfortunate circumstances tonight, with Smith and Lenihan out we’d have no leadership in the team, im pretty sure that’s why Howson has come back in.

I agree with that, final ball has been poor at times but after the first 15 minutes where we couldn’t get out of our own half I was pleased with the last half hour.

Still would have liked to see Lath against the 2 centre halves, shame that’s not an option.
 
Good solid away performance so far. Probably a few too many misplaced passes but we are restricting them to speculative balls and shots from distance.

Shame we haven’t got Latte Lath to bring on and run at their defence but I still think we can find a way through them.

Can see their fans really getting on their backs if it carries on like this into the second half.
 
Decent first half considering we are away from home. We’ve dominated and played some nice football passing moving and linking up.

Just missing that spark in the final third
 
First goal is going to be key in this by the looks. We are short on the bench, so we need to keep it tight at the back and as BoroMart says, guard against complacency, and hope we can sneak one like Saturday from somewhere.

Jones played the pass of the half to Engel but, apart from that, his short passes have been terrible so far. Hopefully we will do our usual and step up a gear second half after tiring out the opposition with our possession play. (y)
