* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Hull Match-Day Thread *

Disagree. The corner is debatable and the second one yes, but who is picking up the man who comes in and scores. If you want to slaughter a player that’s up to you.
He was 100% at fault for both. Left his man at the corner and passed it to them in the box for the 2nd.

He’s a great passer of the ball but he’s ***** defensively, his mistakes have cost us points recently.

Fry is also currently bang out of form and Crooks looks off it too.

We became very complacent at 1-0 and ended up getting exactly what we deserved. Rosenior made changes that impacted the game in his team’s favour whereas Carrick doesn’t really have much left to work with. This is it until January now isn’t it. Injuries have truly screwed us over. That said, injuries don’t concede two absolutely sh*t goals from a corner and a hopeful punt.

We desperately need some injured players back ASAP.

Can’t be losing against a team that plays so badly against us. Hull will not play worse all season.

I know we don’t have lots of options, but Carrick waits far too long to make changes. How Crooks gets 90 minutes is unbelievable.

No, the defence is, however much you want to scapegoat
It's not scapegoating pointing out obvious errors. What can Dijk, VDB, Fry or Engel do about Dan Barlaser totally failing to clear it on his own penalty spot?

What can any of them do about Dan Barlaser standing flat footed while his man runs off him and nods in a free header at the back post.

Also Howson sadly looks finished. He has one good game in 6 these days. It’s not enough
Rosenior realised it was worth getting at us and it worked, probably deserved credit for his substitutions changing the game.

Barlasser seems to be the boo boy. This defeat isn’t down to him, we didn’t manage the game at one nil with twenty to go.
Yes the defeat is down to the whole team but he’s very much partly to blame. He’s woeful, he struggles defensively, constantly makes silly mistakes near our box, (look at tonight and Leeds) a good 50% if his corners don’t beat the first man, I really don’t see why he shouldn’t be blamed when he’s nowhere near the level we require. 90% of the time he passes sideways and backwards, even when a forward ball is on, the only good things he does is his occasional good corner / free kick, or the occasional good pass forward

" Its a team game and the results are team results. We cant afford to start picking on players and pointing fingers." 👉
I think senor Carrick may have too.

His list to Santa should include first team quality CF, CM, CH, LW and a new defensive coach.

Otherwise the season is just dying on the vine.

Did Dan Barlasser spill your pint once?!

2 injuries last season cost us promotion.
Injuries currently ruining our chances.
Need to build a squad

This is fair, but the key word is "build", as opposed to saying "Need to go out and splash £50m on a ready made squad". Players like Engel, Van den Berg, Rogers, Silvera... have to be allowed to learn on the job for us because that's what building the squad is.

How is it unwarranted? He makes no effort at all and you can’t let men go like he does. Honestly he’s a disgrace never wanna see him play again he’s diabolical
Totally disagree, that’s why I said it was unwarranted.

Total over reaction and just plain wrong. In my opinion.

I’ve been saying this for a while. The fact we haven’t managed to replace him shows how poor recruitment has been.
