* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Blackburn Rovers Match-Day Thread *

Shocking from 4th official that
should have been a yellow for ungentlemanly rather than red for violent conduct.....but after that GBH on Fry's face a couple of seasons ago by Blackburn that didn't even yield a foul, let alone the penalty and red card it should have, then fook them, they deserve it football karma

Great result that. Got lucky with the red card but Blackburn have usually had that luck in the past.

The shame is, if Wilder had stopped being so concerned about the players he didn't have and worked with the players he does have - like Carrick has - he'd still be in a job and we'd be in a better league position. No matter what happens for the rest of this season, I'm feeling confident for the future of the club with Carrick in charge.

Blackburn are a really dangerous team going forward and Boro playing in an open manner will always invite pressure.

That is an excellent win to come from behind again against a strong team.

Forss although not a winger which we all know did a good job and when in mattered come up with the goods.

Same for Crooks who is a very clever player and to come back and play 90 minutes his first in a while he will be feeling that, Carrick tried something different tonight with his selection but his was brave enough to send them back out second half and trust his players, again excelle t man management.

For me the stand out again was when Hackney went off we lost the control on the ball in the middle of the park and that killer instinct, what a top player this lad will be if he keeps improving!

I also think the manner in which Carrick has handled things has really helped the team, lets not forget we lost to Burnley 12 days ago and he never panicked, he just said we move on!

We have bounced straight back and got going again, January will be very interesting to see which players we may get interest in and may leave and who we may bring inn!

Made harder work of it than we should second half but a cracking result.
Blackburn are a very physically strong & bullying team who force you back with as strong an attacking team as most in the division, to hold our own and fight for every ball in the manner they did against this team I think deserves credit, many a Boro team over the year home and away against Blackburn have been rolled over through there aggressive approach and tonight we never give up!

End to end game and I believe whilst not some of the best football the team has played, really enjoyable win to watch as we showed we have another side to our team and will dig in when needed!

We got a bit of luck, which is nice after not much whilst Wilder was here - maybe Carrick is going to be a lucky manager. Enjoying the way we’re playing, even though we look very open at times, we look a threat going forward now. One or two decent recruitments this window would be nice. I’m thinking left sided midfielder player in particular
