The shame is, if Wilder had stopped being so concerned about the players he didn't have and worked with the players he does have - like Carrick has - he'd still be in a job and we'd be in a better league position.
Not sure about that. Even if he had played Forss and Hackney I think his insistence on that convoluted formation would have held us back.
What was it again? Flying centre halfs and left footed wizards overloading the opposition campsite?

That Preston result is still getting amongst me .

Without a couple of moments from Steffen and Giles and Chuba slotting his penna we could have had a point or better at Burnley too.

Needs backing with who he wants in January now. We'll need to wheel and deal and move a few out I assume but we have the manager and momentum now. Two or three to start or really challenge for the first XI could see us really push on in the second half and keep this run going.
Might be time to gamble some of our healthy FFP position despite the horrremdous losses and loans to parent company over £140 million.

Gotta speculate to accumulate, a couple of years in the promised land with modest additions would utterly transform us from basket case to shrewd investment opportunity to become the Middlesborrow RedBulls.

🙃

Blackburn are a really dangerous team going forward and Boro playing in an open manner will always invite pressure.
I felt at times we were a bit open, we pressured them too high up the pitch at 2-1 up leaving ourselves open for a counter, a bit naive, but didn't hurt us in the end. Hopefully they will learn from that and sh!thouse our way to the win in future.

Just imagine how good this side could be once Carrick gets the players he wants and we plug the obvious deficiencies in the squad

I was travelling home from France yesterday so missed the game and have just picked up and read this thread now. Some of you need to give your head a shake , as it’s like reading a world of contradictions over a 90 min period .

We are all guilty.
Football is nothing without huge mood swings from minute to minute.
We are all the best Managers.
But hey ho.
Hope you had a good time in France (y)

That sums up my feelings atm. The future looks very bright but then I remember thinking the exact same thing after wilders first few games here
