* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Birmingham City [03/24] Match-Day Thread *

A win is a win. 3 points on the board! They all count. Let’s just keep trying to win and see how it goes.

Well we disagree - although I said the game was dreadful quality, not that we were.

The fact they hadn’t tested the keeper isn’t necessarily a reflection on our defensive prowess either.

Anyway, hopefully better second half.
It didn’t get any better. Thought it was a really poor game.

Quality of the football was dreadful. Birmingham one of the poorest sides I’ve seen in a long time.

L L isn't a 90 min player ... His 2nd touch is brutal when he's tired / leggy.
If barlaser did those turn overs , people couldn't wait to pile on.
He's a handful for 75 mins or so

**** me.

A win’s a win and that was a very important one.

But that was a poor performance, couldn’t get hold of the a ball in the second half against a crap team.

Engel and O’Brien not good enough in that second half, far too many losses of concentration.

That being said, thank god we have VDB, what a ridiculous player. Ayling also had a great game I thought. 3 wins out of 3 and back to back clean sheets away from home.

Alongside Rotherham, they’re the worst team I’ve watched this season.

I think we got dragged down to their level. Massively scrappy and I think Lath started to really tire in the second half. Understandable given his lack of game time in recent months.

Job done though. Take 3 points, and pick 3 more up on Saturday. Enjoy the international break and come back for the last push.

Still a tall order but great returns from the last 3.
