Chuba Talk

Achieving last seasons high of 29 goals is a tall order and a tough ask for any striker.
But, a year on and Chuba appears to have more confidence in himself than at any other time in his football career. He certainly has the confidence of the Manager in his ability and determination. Some fans have expressed that Giles was a major component in Chuba`s success, but his departure simply opens up more options up front. Carrick and his staff have the skill, experience and class to know what it takes to build and blend a winning side - we`ve seen that. Its a team game and a team effort. Where one player is absent, another takes his place. Carrick prefers a fluidity which taps into players strengths. Chuba may a different, but equally effective role this season. Lets not forget the new additions and the fact goals have come from other areas: Forss scored ten goals last season alone. McGree scored some important goals - including the winner against Sunderland and Norwich. Crooks played a vital part. we are not a one man team.
