* The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Norwich [03/24] Match-Day Thread *

Engel has put some good balls in, including the one that led to the goal, but he gives the ball away and makes real basic errors constantly every time he plays. He's nowhere near good enough if we want to push for promotion especially if we are going to play the way Carrick wants to. He's just not a good enough footballer.

Thank god for that bit of luck with the sending off. Before that we were utter dog 💩!!!

Let’s just hope this gets us 3 points closer to safety as the end of the season can’t come soon enough. Massive, massive overhaul needed during the summer.

What a ridiculous first half.

Literally could get nowhere near them when they had 11, concede a dreadful goal and looked totally lost.

Stupid (and very soft) sending off and Norwich have gone to pieces and look all over the shop. Two poor goals defensively and we are on top.

Can’t rely on playing 10 every week, but hopefully might get some confidence back.

I think Engel’s having a good game 👍🏻
First and foremost he has to be solid as a defender. He isn’t, he makes bad decisions and mistakes that stand out every game.

It’s his first season in English football, probably a higher standard than he played in Denmark. Hopefully he will be better next year for the experience.
