* The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Norwich [03/24] Match-Day Thread *

A solid, conventional full back behind Engel wouldn't be a bad idea. He's so much better further up the pitch.
Out of interest who was the last full back we had from the academy who established themselves in the first team?

I remember when we used to have a decent conveyor belt with the likes of Parnaby, McMahon etc.

Well that was about as comfortable a win as it possibly could have been after the sending off. We were completely in control once they went down to ten men. We were due a bit of good luck and we finally got it. Thank flip for that. UTB.

Sometimes you just need a bit of luck and we certainly got that tonight. Buzzing to finally win at home again, feels like a lifetime since Chelsea, never mind WBA in the league.

Hopefully we can replicate this against 11 men on Saturday and put some form of consistency together.

O’Brien and McNair both great tonight, McNair really made a difference when pushing forward.

Dieng was probably our best player when it was 11 a side. Some teams manage ok with 10, but they’ve been shocking or we really took advantage, probably a combination of both. The width killed them,

Good result, hopefully that’s a turn around. No injuries too, and some resting of players, which will help.
