* The Unofficial “Official”, Boro v Chelsea. Carabao Cup, Semi-final, First Leg. Match-Day Thread *

Proud of the lads holding their own against teams like Chelsea and Villa these last two games, what a result, with all the injuries we have and then getting even more tonight and still play how we have against both.

Can we do that against the Rotherham's of the world now too 😅

I'm at work and hence just dipping in and out on the BBC. Fantastic result and I've no doubts we can get a draw at the Bridge.
Hopefully there'll be extended highlights on when I get home.

Twenty years of hurt, Carrick's got me dreaming!

As flies to wanton boys we are for the gods, they kill us for their sport, slow down the ageing of the cells, soon the science will fix the cells to the state and so we will become eternal. Only accidents, crimes, wars, will still kill us but unfortunately, crimes, wars will multiply.

I LOVE THE F***ing BORO¡¡¡!!!!!!!!!??!!!!!!!!!!

Cole Palmer walking off without shaking anyone’s hand. Spoilt brat.

Tremendous heart and organisation tonight.

UTFB
I was a bit baffled by how Sky were talking about him in the build-up and during the first half. Going on like he's Messi, bordering on the "HE IS HUMAN AFTER ALL!" type patter players like Messi get. Like, he's good, but chill out.

All the players are hereos tonight. Even Crooks who looked badly out of touch still put in a monumental shaft.

Happy with that.
Lots still to do.
Hope we don’t have to defend quite so hard at their place…

Brilliant result, superb defending, putting bodiies on the line, took our chance. We got a bit of luck, and we will need a hell of a lot more in the second leg. But those lads have put a real shift in and deserved their luck.
