How is that linked? You do realise we could have done exactly the same from within the EU?

I seem to recall some EU countries being censured by the EU for trying to go their own way.

If it really is that easy to do it as part of the EU why has no other country done it - especially as the EU’s management of vaccination has been such a car crash? Thanks

Germany, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Denmark have done vaccine deals outside the EU deal.

OK. A number of states have taken these steps latterly but I don’t believe a member state would have broken ranks earlier on unless they were leaving the party.

As recently as this January von De Leyen was saying there is no parallel process.
