Shame about the parkrun not being able to return there. I love the barrage and a loop round to the infinity bridge.
I did hear tell Stockton Council would like the parkrun to return.Shame about the parkrun not being able to return there. I love the barrage and a loop round to the infinity bridge.
What's stopping it? Why can't a group of people go for a run around public accessible grounds?I did hear tell Stockton Council would like the parkrun to return.

But if it's accessible to the public what's the issue? It's only people jogging and walking isn't it?Public accessible but multiple owners.
The Gut Hut?Is The Gut Hut mobile van still parked up by the infinity bridge ?
Parkrun is 5km - it would be about 5 laps of the new park. You'd think Stockton council would be wanting park run to be at the new town centre park area once built?
I would guess that once its an "organised" event, the organisers have issues around public liability etc, and some of the landowners who are more than happy for public access and right of way to be granted to individuals, might themselves have liability issues with such an organised event should something happen. What's stopping it? Just make it unofficial then? Surely nothing can be done to stop a group of people jogging about?I would guess that once its an "organised" event, the organisers have issues around public liability etc, and some of the landowners who are more than happy for public access and right of way to be granted to individuals, might themselves have liability issues with such an organised event should something happen.
