The team needs your support

We can all agree they’re going through a rough patch, and I recognise the right of anyone to criticise how the club’s being run.

That being said, we’ve all seen time and time again how crucial fan support can be, and I’m seriously concerned that we’re a few bad games short of a relegation scrap.

Might seem like pi$$ing in the wind to everyone that sells their gran to get to each game etc, but this is an appeal to keep the support up, at least until we’re safe from league 1.

Nah they can go **** themselves after that yesterday. I can’t support players who don’t give a **** like Thomas, Barlaser etc. If they come out of the team and we play people who want to play for the club then maybe.

Honestly the body language on them 2 was horrific

It's not about whether they deserve our support though, it's about the fact we can play a part in stopping our club getting relegated. The players aren't the club, they're just temporary employees.
The fans are the club, that's what we support.

Looking forward to paying £35 walkup for a League One game next season.........🙄🙄

Seriously, my concern is do we have the players to roll their sleeves up and scrap their way out of this mess?

And if fans see the team busting a gut to get the win, they will get behind the players. Currently just not happening.......we're in a downward spiral......on and off the pitch It's a bit grim.

😬😬

Yeah but it’s upto me now as to whether I want to continue to go and watch them play for my club. That was a tough day out yesterday, should have stayed at home with my family.

Unless something changes drastically can’t see my season ticket getting much use for the rest of the season. Definetly won’t be going to midweek games anyway. If we get relegated then that’s what we deserve. Hopefully not but nothing would surprise me with that pathetic group of footballers assembled.

It’s a two way process though. The team has put in some terrible performances recently, and during the season. Fans cannot ignore that and continue to back them like it hasn’t happened. Give the fans a performance and they will respond.

Yeah this is where I’m at. If I’ve given up then so be it. Feels like the players have too.

Last 20 minutes against Plymouth and the ground was 3/4 empty there were still people clapping and singing their love for the club. It got me thinking. I don’t want to boo, terribly bad form old chap. But I think supporting the team in this moment does the club no good.

They need to be told in no uncertain terms this is not acceptable. That performance yesterday tells me they didn’t get that message

Wednesday’s match is feeling a bit like the Southampton home game. On the brink of no confidence left in Carrick. Pretty much everyone expecting a defeat. Worrying about relegation. It ended up being one of the best atmospheres this season. It’s hard to get up for it but if the players give it their absolute all I think the fans will respond and we can get a result.

Back 5 with Engel and Djiksteel the wingbacks please Carrick.

The fans do their part, we've had some very good home attendances this season and the away support has been excellent as it always is, the players and management have to give us something to get behind though! If they're not fighting and scrapping for every win, point and 50/50 ball on the pitch then why would the fans in the stands be happy about it?

There is a shocking attitude on display from some of the players out there at the minute and the fans in the stands are rightly angry and calling them out on it.

Thomas was dreadful. No idea how he made it back out after half time. Definitely needed hooking. No excuse to play him when we have Engel fit who at least gets stuck in.

Agree totally with this message, come on boro.

You often find when it's backs to the wall and it's just the hardcore left in the stadium they are the best nights, all the fickle fans have deserted to the dodgy and it's great atmosphere,👍

Tbf the support was pretty good still yesterday in the face of an awful performance. There were a few angry voices and a few left before the end but they all got a good clap going down the tunnel (which is in the worst place at Stoke if you have lost) and quite a few of them looked pretty embarrassed, especially vdB so they know it wasn't good.

Been following since 1976
Can't believe what's happening to the boro
How it has spiralled.downwards so rapidly

I'm.not turning up to watch overpaid heartless xun%ts take their money and jump into their flash car and f%%% off

This is dire.

Yesterday was dire.

Therfore I am.going to sit cross legged and be bhuddist

What matters is life and people.

I'll always be a boro fan till my coffin and beyond but this team ( and gibbo) are both not deserving of my physical support right now

My Saturdays can now be spent walking I'm the moors..biking fishing and relaxing

Last year was amazing, this year not so good but it can always reverse again next season.

This is football.
I'd say that the big hope we have is that we are sitting on the transfer funds till the summer and will give Michael Carrick some proper backing in the transfer market. There are a few good players in the squad but we absolutely lack a consistent spine and that must change if we want a promotion push.

Embarrassing chap.
South Stand was only third-full by the time the final whistle went.
Bored silly, couldn't wait for the final whistle :(

I get your theory
Sadly, our track record of spending money the right way isn’t great.
Suppose it might change this time but, I’m not optimistic
