Definitely changed the game, but I'm struggling to have any sympathy whatsoever with the lad who was sent off.
Booked for a potentially nasty tackle (wasn't a red, yellow was right colour) but then gobbed off to the ref......and must have been something pretty bad for the ref to give him a yellow immediately.
Players, managers have all been warned that dissent towards the ref is an automatic yellow so all the ref has done is - correctly applied the laws of the game. What was he supposed to do? Mackems are moaning that the ref was bent, should have had a word with him, given a warning.......
Their meltdown on RTG towards the ref is comical, hundreds absolutely fuming and only one or two actually making the correct observation that the player put the ref in the situation where he had to give him a yellow.
Funny not one mentioned the two handed push in the box by O'Nein on Crooks ........odd that, bent ref eh?
