These guys are everyday heroes.

Rate used to be a can of Mahou or Estrella for 52c from the supermarket, or €1 from the guy - decent profit margin but a good deal is one where both sides come out of the negotiation happy.

Used to have a Cerveca Frio guy in the square next to mine who would repurpose a bin with ice after dark to keep his cerveca extra frio, what a legend. Me and my mate went down halfway through a house party once and bought his entire stock, was something like €56

Couldn’t believe it.. I felt like Homer Simpson when that hot dog guy keeps following him!

If you've not read The Pillars of the Earth I would recommend it. Shows what is behind these buildings and why they take so long.

Been twice and it is amazing, but I've just seen it from the outside, don't think I'd pay the fee to go in.

I would recommend it. The queues are getting crazy now but the interior is better than the exterior IMO

I don't know whether they still do but when I used to go to Barcelona games they used to sneak in there too. Beer brought to your seat? heaven!

I would recommend it. The queues are getting crazy now but the interior is better than the exterior IMO

I'd recommend it also - I'm by no means religious, but the inside is mind blowing, as is the walk between the towers. You need to book both in advance to beat the queues (in fact if you want to do the tower walk, you have to book that in advance)

Quite incredible isn't it, borders on the breath-taking. Quite a while since I saw it, Barcelona had not long before signed Henrik Larsson so 2004.

I'm not a huge fan of the exterior; there's something about it that always puts me in mind of a termite mound. That's not inherently bad, as they can be quite elegant and spectacular in their own right, but it's a disquieting thought that crosses my mind when I look at it.

I'll agree the interior is stunning though.

It's a novel. I read it whilst queuing outside the Riverside for cup tickets. Great book.
