Construction began in 1882 and it's estimated to be completed in 2026.. 144 years to complete!

I mean.. is it just me that thinks it’s a bit ott and not really worth it?

144 years tho?
The architect was killed by a tram. Then there was a civil war in which the artisans working on it were killed and all the original plans destroyed. Then there was the long and endless and poor Franco years were it was hampered by budget costs and not being the flavour of the government. Still doesn't take from it's majesty.

Cologne cathedral is another spectacular religious building and that took over 600 (SIX HUNDRED!) Years to build

I clearly didn’t pay attention on the tour!

If I go into work and they say it’s gonna be 50 years to finish the job.. I’m not coming in the next day.

Then I guess you never learned the history of it
Shhhhh.. I was looking at some gargoyles or summet.. geometric shapes and shiz.. folks that were learning dead trades and making stuff up as the original designs had been lost.

Breeze blocks and a decent render.. get it smashed out ffs

Imagine missing 40 world cups through work!
