There must be some truth in Jones interviewing for the Japan job again. Strange situation with Australia.I’m surprised at this given their long term aims as he was brought in apparently for the lions tour and the next home World Cup.
But they have been shocking.
I struggle to see why Cane was sent off but Kolisi not.
No , just no. Its sad, modern sport, that any loss leads to abuse of officials but in this cos its not only sad. Its wholly incorrect
According to the tmo is was the difference in impact. Said the kolisi one most of the impact went through the body and not the headI struggle to see why Cane was sent off but Kolisi not.
I hardly think that photo could constitute abuse of officials And of course I don’t think the TMO cost us the game - well certainly not the officials individually anyway and am the last person to want to attach any one individual to a sporting defeat. No , just no. Don't get me wrong . The new rules are not great. I understand the need to protect people's heads but they seem super harsh. But thays not the officials fault. That said the new rules have its critics and I am one of them. And reading the papers this morning a number of respected rugby journalists agree.
We all see what they are trying to do with safety. NZ TV has poured over the footage and they have acknowledged under the current rules Sam had to see red but that’s because the rules were clear about head clashes and force. In the heat of battle when both sides are flying into tackles it just gets one instance of change of direction, one accidental error in timing and your game is over. Do I think that’s good for the game - no I don’t think I do. Red cards should be for serious foul play with a player being reckless or worse. In the case of Tom Curry in England’s game against Argentina and in last nights final two players got it wrong and in a split second the game is significantly affected.Don't get me wrong .
