The rugby world cup begins tomorrow!

I've watched numerous England World Cup rugby games and 6 nations. And do you know what? I have absolutely no idea what's going on ...rugby for girls was not a thing at school for me....I'm that old football wasn't either.
All I know is you can't pass forwards and what a try is. All.i see is loads of blokes pile on and then suddenly there's a penalty...or a scrum. And what's offside in rugby?? (Yes..before any puns kick in...I can explain it in football!)
Anyone point me to rugby for beginners

Yes I would love to Norman but I’ve spent a fortune in the 2 and a bit weeks we have spent here travelling and accomm. Also didn’t get tickets for the later rounds.

I think that was stated before the start of the tournament and it clearly looks that way when you see the other side of the draw.
