The Perfect Fry-up

Clockwise, on the biggest plate you have in the house.
2 Cumberland sausages. Buttered White toast with 3 or 4 (tinned) plum tomatoes with lots of cracked black pepper. 3 x smoked back bacon, fat just nicely rendered. Mushrooms, sautéed in butter. 2 x black pudding slices, pan fried but still slightly crumbly. Buttered white toast with 2 large free range fried eggs (fried in olive oil). Dollop of Heinz baked beans. Daddies Brown sauce and colmans English mustard on the side. Mug of Yorkshire tea.
No hash browns or anything potatoe based. It's breakfast, not tea.

An extra round or two of white toast within reach to make sure the plate is perfectly clean before leaning back with a grin

Why would HP sauce (or any) ruin a breakfast?.... Strange🤔. The very idea of any sauce is to have with a meal.

Sounded good then you mentioned daddies, and you went down in my estimations as I really am and brown sauce snob

Nothing wrong with Daddies?

HP is sickly sweet now it's not what it used to be

Brown sauce recommendations welcome all the same but please don't mention some snobby local stuff unavailable to the rest of us (y)

Best Black Pudding going at the minute is Marks & Spencer's.......yeah I know a bit pretentious but worth it

sides - baked beans in ramakin - this allows for them to be pored over cold white bread toast if required either at the end or during the feast (once a gap has been created.... sometimes put the poached egg on the toast as well but this gets a tad messy

Oh no no no. Whats that all about? Slap them on a large plate with the rest. And it has to heinz beans. None of this homemade baked bean nonsense.

Dislike Heinz beans and I'm not alone in that. During start of Pandemic when folks were hording I noticed a few weeks on the trot that all other brands were sold out but their was always Heinz on the shelves. Maybe they just had better delivery than others but strange that a number of other Heinz products had sold out.
