* The Original - Unofficial "Official" Boro v Sheffield United. Match-Day Thread *

We seem to be getting into their box with ease. We need to keep at it. Midfield needs to be a bit more switched on though, play the simple game and it will come.

Agree with Smith looking off tonight, just goes to show how solid and dependable he’s been.

Need to get a few more balls to Archer though, looks like he revels in this type of game.

Giles doesn’t really seem in it tonight, not been many crosses from him.

We look the prettier and most likely to score. You wouldn't rule out another scrabble in our box and a scruffy headed goal for them though.

This isn't a gimmee even with how well we have played.

We have drifted in the betfair win market which surprises me. From 5/2 before kick off to nearly 7/2 now.

Some very defeatist comments on here at the outset - wouldn’t like to ever be in the trenchers with those folk. It’s not about first five minutes it’s about the season since Carrick arrived. Akpom is way too good for the championship and teams like Sheffield United. Keep the faith people - it’s coming

After the nightmare start we’ve played some lovely stuff. Think they’ll tighten it up second half, hopefully we can still dominate the midfield and create some more chances. Probably need at least three to win!

Chuba looking more Vidukaesque with every game.
There was one moment where the balls in the air, the sheff utd player goes up to jump for it, but he uses his body to shift him out of the way waits for the ball to loop over him controls it and moves forward. It's like the matrix. Everyone else is seeing a game of football, hes seeing 1s and zeros.

Game on a knife edge.

We look fantastic going forward but sloppy at times playing out, so could go either way.

Keep it steady for the first 10 mins of the second half, as I’m sure they’ll come out fast again, and keep passing through them like we have and we’ve got a good chance of 3 points.

Good game so far.
