* The Original Unofficial "Official" Boro v Luton Match-Day Thread *

It's a shame we lost to a blatant dive for a pen, but we played some good stuff without a few first teamers, allowing some of the second string to get some minutes. I can understand why Chuba wasn't risked. They would have tried to knack them

Yeah, let’s get wound up about an irrelevant result instead and bring some negativity into play.

We battered them with a second string side and they won through cheating. But IT DOESNT MATTER. What matters is when we go into those playoffs.

Look at the positives, stop moaning.
No? We played well, didn't deserve to lose, and got done by cheating. Why should anyone stop moaning? People generally don't like losing, and especially don't like losing to cheating, whether it matters or not.

Weird attitude.

We’ll batter these over 2 legs or in a one off game at Wembley.
We can only play them in the final.

I really hope we do get them, would much prefer them to Sunderland or west brom.

Wouldn't mind Blackburn or Coventry either like, or Millwall.

Actually going through that list, this must be the weakest set of teams in the playoffs for ages? We've got a hell if a chance of getting promoted here.

Luton fans on their forum claiming there was a touch for the penalty 🙄
There was , I tiny touch .
My criticism was how far away our 2 centre halves were away from Morris , Lenaghan well out of position , Howson also , leaving a huge space for Morris to run into.

Happened against Leicester in 1996, and against Norwich in 2015. They knew how we were going to play. In Leicester‘s case they man marked Juninho and Karmark kicked him all over the pitch. Part of me thinks this was in Carrick’s thinking tonight.

Precisely the games I was thinking of, though I thought Lecester was in '97.
