The new shirt revealed by the club on twitter

I’m 35 and I know I shouldn’t be but… I’m so disappointed ☹️

Overall I think the colour balance is wrong. There’s too much blue, not enough white. And it looks way too busy. Three lines of sponsor writing and it’s too high up the shirt.

Doesn’t looks like a Boro kit to me. Maybe Crewe
Yeah far too much going on. The horizontal stripes could work on a simple shirt with subtle sponsor. Or the blue trim could work on a plain red top. All together however it's a bit of a mess

Would look better without the white stripes
No, no it wouldn't ... because then it would be just another generic all red kit - as much as it distresses me to say this, and for the first time ever, I agree with Nobby - we have a white band / hoop

Not as bad as the hideous belly band of 2016-17, but an atrocious design
Yeah, a very close second
I’m pretty confident that I would have thought it was total ***** even as a kid.
Me too. Even if you like the concept - and I don't - it's just poorly executed - and the random bits of blue are intrusive and unnecessary. It is 100% t*rd.

My initial opinion like sleeves. Shorts and collar, detail/trim. Chest is too crowded and dissapointed not more of a distinguishable band. Got to live with it and maybe it looks better on the players on the pitch.

It's a meh shirt. It doesn't offend but it doesn't look like a classic (unless Boro get 100+points). It's not an atrocity. Eg It is not like that Arsenal away shirt from the early 90s which looks like someone vomited an omelette, not the Newcastle Yellow and cream stripes fiasco 10 or so years ago.

I think we all go OTT about the shirts each season. Someone will always hates it. Some even dislike the white band. Buy it or don't. The last home shirt I bought was the first Hummel one when they returned as manufacturers, because it reminded me of the mid-80s ones they produced. I bought the 3rd shirt from last season which is also being used this season because I like the old MFC badge on the back and the patterns on the sleeves. I'm certain loads hated it too.

I'm sensing a recurring theme here, grumpy middle aged men slag off something which they aren't the target market for. It's the same every single year. You may as well be passing comment on the latest crotchless panties in the Anne Summers catalogue as the vast majority of you won't be buying them to wear either.

It's not popular on social media either, it's not just the older posters on here who dislike it.

Unless you think it's only middle aged men on Tik Tok, Twitter and Instagram too.

It's getting a bad reaction from the majority.

Can anyone tell whether the white stripes and sponsor is integrated in the fabric or whether it is iron on? I can see the badge and errea logo are embroidered. I hate the iron on bits on kits. Always falls apart and makes it feel cheap.
