The new shirt revealed by the club on twitter

It’s the annual Scrug advocates for art students from Middlesbrough to design the shirt post!

That is horrible. Just hope the away kit is better than last years monstrosity which we seemed to stop wearing half way through the season.

I like the fact the kit is all red, red shirt shorts and socks. Other than that it’s just ok, don’t love it don’t hate it

It wouldn’t look out of place on Tracy Emin’s unmade bed. It looks like a late Salvador Dali effort to get into football shirt design just before he died. Whoever designed it needs help, whoever sanctioned it at Boro needs medication.

I'm sensing a recurring theme here, grumpy middle aged men slag off something which they aren't the target market for. It's the same every single year. You may as well be passing comment on the latest crotchless panties in the Anne Summers catalogue as the vast majority of you won't be buying them to wear either.

It's ok, I like the sleeve and collar detailing (but they aren't really traditional Boro so not what you'd expect on a Boro kit, but they look nice). However, the sponsor kills it by having too much text (but we all said the same last year too). But as above it doesn't matter what we all think as the kids will like it and it'll sell out.

Like others have said I care more about the team on the pitch than the kit.

I’m pretty confident that I would have thought it was total ***** even as a kid.

Really? As a kid I just wanted the latest kit to show my support for Boro, I wasn't all together fussed what it looked like. I can remember plenty of Adults slagging off the kit design or quality of materials when I wore Boro kits as a kid, but I didn't care, I had the Boro kit that my heroes were wearing and that's all that mattered.
