It's not though is it? Just because you are scared of brown people doesn't mean you should be. Sorry but if you think it's a no go area it's on you, not on the people who live and work there
 
The 4 main countries the refugees are fleeing are Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Iran. The West, including Britain has bombed the crap out of three of those countries and heavily sanctioned the other. In other words we have created the refugee problem - and you are suggesting that these refugees should go into the army - what, so that they can create more refugees?
 
I dont think or at least I hope the OP isnt being anti anything, he is normally a good egg . So I take it he isnt.

I think he is baffled and unhappy that the Rwanda debacle, and is has put his two bob in, I think he is receiving some good replies.
We really need a healthy procedure on lots of aspects, that shouldn't be able to be used as vote catchers by fascist elements.
All of this has the feeling we are at war with everybody but the yanks.

The saddest part is the not so educated or advantaged are denied to dream of getting a chance because they are classed as thick. Despite everything we moan about we are very lucky in a lot of respects. Some people are denied passports as it isn't a right in some places.
 
The Rwanda scheme is all b***ks. Its not about illegal immigrants, its not about protecting desperate, vulnerable people from smugglers. If it was, we would have processing centres in France. The problem for the Tories and their base is something like 75% of those making the crossing are legally entitled to stay - if ever processed. So, they can't do the right thing - as they would get the wrong result.

Its all about people who think too many brown people live here.

Corruption is a tricky one - we are seen as more corrupt that Hong Kong and are now 20th in the world for transparency (going backwards).

Or course, some of the regimes you are referring to are pretty extreme.

There is a world problem here where millions of people are being displaced by war and tyranny. Much of it supported or ignored by the west.
We aren’t going to solve it on our own.

As an earlier poster said ‘The Boats’ are not the issue and the evidence supports that.
But, The Tory’s have done a number on the great British Public who think they are.

The numbers are insignificant to immigration in the UK

2023 - immigration increased to 1.4m
Around 40000 came on boats

The town was built by imigrants, the overwhelming population desends from imigrants, or do you just mean the brown ones?
The biggest problem the town seems to have is the indigenous addicts , often committing crimes to fund the addiction

I’m just saying what I see. The town centre is a horrendous scruffy and quite scary (particularly for women) dump. I don’t recognise the place or the population.

It is reported, but tends to get lost in the 'net' figure:

Why is it that immigrant politicians hold the most abhorrent views on how we should treat asylum seekers?

Sunak, Braverman, Patel etc from the Tories and today we have Pakistani immigrant Ben Habib, deputy leader of Reform, saying we should just allow migrants to drown at sea.

WTF is wrong with these people?
