The media scrutiny of Reeves Budget

Said this on another post, but the level of scrutiny from the media has been ridiculous.

All these amateur economists now having their two penneth, and wheeling out Tories to comment....... jeeeeeezzz, like the past 14 years never happened.

To come up with what they have shows - generally - what a good budget it has been. After 14 years of Tory mis managing of the public finances, refreshing to see a more robust budget, not just knee jerk cuts to please the money men.

Sunak being more narked than I've ever seen him shows it must be hitting the wealthy 👍

I think the joke about his private jet flight costs going up really hit home.

Labour are always judged to a higher standard than the tories for some reason. Similarly to the democrats the USA.

Been like this for a couple of years with the Right Wing politicizing everything and anything.
When one side gets scrutinized, they don’t like it…

The Telegraph headline is Labour Is “putting Britain on a path to oblivion”. During the mismanagement over the last 14 years this paper were tireless in messaging don’t talk the country down. Now they have gone full Trump. The far right control the Mail, Express and Telegraph, and the Times has no balance anymore.

And the BBC just repeats the Daily Mail.

I was pretty appalled by a BBC article this morning, generally slagging the budget

The following statement 🤷🏻‍♂️, at least it’s more in the average pocket whilst trying to dig us out of the the last 14 years of 💩

“They conclude its rate of growth, while up a smidgen on where it’s been in recent years, is still pretty piffling.”

I read the BBC Have Your Say sections sometimes and in there they are extremely pro-Tory and I assume majority retired based off all of the comments and reactions. They are not very happy with Labour and they seem to think the sky is falling down.

This is the sort of stuff the Torygraph are focussing in on. You have to laugh otherwise you would cry.

Seems the rich little pips don't like being squeezed. Taking into account the absolute state of our country's finances post-Tory civil war, Reeves delivered an astounding budget yesterday. Unless you're looking at completely restructuring the way our society works in a single year - which tbh I'd be very happy to look at but is no more than a pipe dream - I fail to see what else she could have done.
