The Last Boro Team To Play at SOL

Shotton on paper was the weakest player in that team and we ended up missing him when he got injured.

Totally passed me by that Martin Cranie played for us lol. Just looked up his stats and he scored against us for Luton in Woodys first game in charge.

Not in the least bit true?

He started the next 8 matches, scored a hat-trick against Leeds in the very next one.

He was then taken off at home against Bristol City with a concussion and was eased back in for the last two games of the regular season.

Gestede was out injured for the season after hurting himself celebrating against Hull, the match immediately before the Sunderland game, a game both he and Bamford started in and they both scored.

Not starting Bamford against Aston Villa in the play-off semi was baffling, but Downing had scored in the previous match, I guess.

Besic looked quality when he came in the Feb until the end of the season. Then if I remember correctly we tried to buy him for 6M in the summer but for some reason couldn't get the deal done in time and ended up taking him on a full season loan which everyone seemed happy with at the time but he ended up being pretty dissapointing and looked disinterested.
