The key to the championship don’t get too high after a win or too low after a defeat

As Warnock says no point dwelling on the last game you need to focus on the next. The Championship is super competitive. We are down because we lost to a Preston side who last week beat Bournemouth and struggled against Wycombe at the weekend. Every team will have good and bad spells throughout the season....I can even remember thinking I might have been wrong about Woodgate after Preston last year!

Get as high as you want after a win, it's fun to go over the top in celebrating a win and it's not hurting anyone.

But I don't think there's any benefit to the flagellation after defeats, and it does have a knock on.

That's the modern day fan unfortunately. We win and we're going up and when we lose its like a death in the family. No in between at all!

As the games come thick and fast yes I was disappointing last night but I do think some of the reactions have been a bit ott.

Warnock is a good manager he’ll find a way
Exactly.

The same people now slaughtering the team were probably saying we could get automatic promotion after NW won manager of the month.

The table position now is probably a fairer reflection of where we are as a club and given where we were when NW took over that's not bad going.

I just think when it’s back to back defeats it really hurts so you do get low. You struggle to remember what you were doing well and worry where the next win is coming from.

Thankfully on paper, yes I know the game isn't played on paper we have a good run of fixtures coming up where we should be able to right our wrongs. Come on Boro

Indeed. Look at Reading - had a terrible month but have picked up again and are still in the play-offs. We're right around where I expected us to be and we'll be sitting on the shoulders of play-off challengers all season.

Millwall have not been great of late, we should beat them, but we always seem to give struggling teams a leg up.

It is true, however for me it is not just about getting beat it's the manner in which we are getting beat, if NW changes his instructions to Bettinelli to stop him constantly hoofing the ball as far as he can for no apparent gain, I would feel a lot happier.

The key to the championship don’t get too high after a win or too low after a defeat . . . and don't be happy or sad with a draw.

Sometimes it feels like the results in this league could be drawn out of a hat, with absolutely no rhyme or reason to it. OP is absolutely correct and I'm forever trying to remind myself of this mantra. But of course it's not always that easy in practice...

I agree👍. I'm the first to have a Britt rant etc but we are probably about where we should be. It's very biopola on here as just over 2 weeks ago it was nothing but positivity.

It's easy to forget how bad we were last season. We are a better team with pretty much the same players. I think we were slightly punching last month.

I'd like 4-6 points from the next two very winnable games at home. I just think we need to get a bit of confidence back and 'go again'. It's definitely not all doom and gloom and far more positives than negatives in the last 6 months.

It's still the majority of the same none scoring /creating players the last two managers have had. We've been stuck with the none scoring forwards due to big contracts and no resale value. You can only do so much with them😕

I just don't understand how the likes of pulis and now Warnock can't 'crack' setplays? We are so bad at corners it's hardly worth us having them.

I can't explain Pulis as it was like land of the giants, but we've got quite a short squad now.

Of the fit outfield, only Fry is over 6ft and he can't head the ball for toffee.
Obviously you don't necessarily need to be tall to be good from set pieces, but it does help.
