Got to be right up there with the likes of scarface and goodfellas as one of the best films ever made. What a movie. The Mr Napkin head scene is iconic
I trust this is a wind up. It’s singularly one of the worst films ever made. I would put it in my bottom 3 films that should never have seen the light of day.Got to be right up there with the likes of scarface and goodfellas as one of the best films ever made. What a movie. Terrible films can have mass appeal which this one clearly has. I’d classify this one along with the hundreds of romcoms that get shown throughout this period on the various Christmas satellite channels - just because it had a bigger budget and a stellar cast doesn’t mask the fact that this is an absolute shocker. But if you enjoy it fair enough - it’s certainly for me at least firmly in the worst films category. It's hardly The Godfather but probably one of the better modern Christmas films
Doubt the cast are ashamed, they got paid well for it, streaming and Christmas season will no doubt ensure ongoing totalities and while the critics didn't like it, review aggregators show audiences did

I have acknowledged it’s mass appeal. Maybe it’s the cast that attracts a following, although Jude Law is not my idea of a watchable actor and neither is Diaz. That said am not it’s demograph so what do I know. All I do know is that to compare it with Scarface and Goodfellas is surely taking the p1ss.If it has mass appeal, is it actually terrible or do you just not like it?
If it was an absolute shocker so many people enjoy enjoy it - plenty of annual star studded Christmas films with the same formula fall absolutely flat every year.
It's no love actually but don't think it's bad at all.
The op is obviously in jest but it's a bit OTT suggesting that people enjoy the film for superficial reasons like the cast rather than just liking different things to you. I'm not its demographic either, and I enjoyed the movie. Wasn't going to win any Oscars but wasn't trying to.I have acknowledged it’s mass appeal. I feel like she didn't age for about 20 years and then received all those years in the post overnightI think it's okay, but it's probably spoiled a bit because I really don't like Cameron Diaz, something about her face.
Might watch it again though, only had the one Christmas film so far this year.
I've never been able to bring myself to watch it. Awful cloying ***** should be left to the Americans.Am I the only person who can't stand Love Actually? What a cringefest!
The Holiday is much better
