The Grand Tour - Final episode

Out now on Prime. Watched it last night, a very fitting end to an era. Obviously GT was never going to match peak Top Gear but this episode feels like a return to those days - 3 blokes just d*cking about in cars.

I know Clarkson divides opinion with lots of people but you can’t deny they’ve been cracking entertainment for the last 20 odd years.

Also, annoyingly got something in my eye for the last 10-15 minutes, not sure what happened there…

Was never a fan of Top Gear, and less so Grand Tour. Always didn't like Clarkson either, but admit he seems decent when I've watched his Farm programme. Still has strong views on stuff, and I probably would disagree with him a lot, but there is a warmth from him I reckon. So not all bad.

Just watched it. Quite a fitting end where they actually shut off the mic's. Most enjoyable special for a while as it was all about reminiscing. I really liked when they found their old cars. Bye guys, its been fun (y)

Great end to it all. End of an era which started out as three blokes mucking about in cars and has ended up a multi million pound business and seen in over a hundred countries around the world

I can deny it. Dreadfully acted vroom vroom dross

I thought it was alright. A decent send off.

It's never been the same since the glory days on the BBC. That said they've all had an absolute pay day out of Amazon.

I recently purchsed the dvd box set of the Top Gear specials from a charity shop for £5 (remember dvds😂). I would rather watch them anyday. I never get old of the Vietnam on bikes or the Polar special.

A brilliant ending, abit like the OP I think one of the neighbours was cutting onions whilst I was watching the last 20 minutes.

I've watched Top Gear and TGT religiously from being a teenager, it has been and always will be my favourite programme.

Some see disagreeing with Clarkson as some form of socialist Blue Peter badge they bring out to show everyone at swinging parties. Some say you have to swear an oath of loathing against him to enter into the Labour party.

Right time to end it but what a way to end it. Must be one of the most iconic British tv programmes ever

It wasn’t far off the top gear days, although it’s impossible to get away with that kind of humour on tv now which is probably the only reason it wasn’t regarded as being better

I enjoyed the last one. The love of those old classics. The "end of an era" emotional stuff. As always beautifully shot and brilliantly produced.
You have to remember when you think of the emotional ending... it's not just Comp, Clegg and Foggy there that have shared some amazing experiences. There's a large crew and production team too.... many of whom will have spent more time together than with their own families.

It was a way better epsidoe than the previous preposterous one.

Majority of them will see him Monday to carry on with Clarksons Farm. Same crew.

Cracking gig if you can get it & they literally blazed a trail around the world - even making the front page of the local Zimbabwe paper.

In a time of over pampered, 'beautiful', invariably young, people with certain accents & from particular universities.. 3 blokes, & now older blokes, managed to entertain - their wide audience demographic - for 22 odd years..

As ICE cars head for the exit, it's probably fitting that so do they.. for me it's been a fun show & since Amazon a step up again in quality..
