I've read a few articles online from local newspapers in the last month and I have to say I was genuinely surprised at just how bad the quality was. I'm not saying I'm particularly good but if I handed in anything remotely as badly written, grammatically incorrect or nonsensical as the likes of "I'm a 24 year old woman but I prefer working men's clubs to nightclubs" then they'd never ask me to work for them again.

Typos and dreadful composition published in what by all accounts is a relatively well read newspaper. She's a full time journalist for them as well. Barmy.

What do people find negative?Well for one it seems that one or two find the contributors too positive or too lucid and coherent to be “real”. They seem to feel uncomfortable with positivity although for the life of me I don’t know why. I get my fix of negativity at the game. As for Dana she is very listenable Clearly the hard work she puts in to her podcasting has paid off and I can’t think why anybody would not applaud that.

As for the Gazette It doesn’t exist as a Local newspaper anymore and wouldn’t give it the time of day as it exists now.
 
It's sad to see things like radio shift from tfm in Stockton to Newcastle and the gazette wind-down, but people's habits have changed I guess.

If people didn't read the Lee Duffy stories, Aldi live in or "here are 20 photos from a nightclub over a 30 year period, are you in one of them?" Articles - many of which are reposted annually - then purvey wouldn't post them

They may not have a big screen in an office but they will absolutely have metrics that show what gets the clicks which is why they keep pumping it out
