The end?

I don't know if anyone else ever listens to the "We have way of making you talk" Podcast with Al Murray and James Holland (Pub Landlord and widely published WW2 Historian respectively)? Anyway they were talking about how much Soviet Russia relied on USA/UK Lend Lease program to keep them in the war. This seems to be a lesson that the Russians have forgotten probably because the post-Stalin "truth" was that the USSR defeated the Germans largely on their own and they denied the narrative that they needed the help from the USA/UK. And whilst they did the bleeding the materiel required was provided largely by the US with some assistance from the UK/British Empire. Here are some of the numbers

44,000 Jeeps
375,883 cargo trucks
8,071 tractors
12,700 tanks.
1,541,590 blankets
331,066 litres of alcohol
15,417,000 pairs of army boots
106,893 tons of cotton
2,670,000 tons of petroleum products
4,478,000 tons of food
There were also huge quantities of guns, explosives and ammunition

Ironically or perhaps indicatively, the one item they declined was Mine Detectors because, "The Soviet Union detects mines with troops"...

It is an irrefutable fact that they would not have been able to resist the Germans without this stuff, the Germans would probably not have "won" because they had (and again a lesson not learnt) advanced beyond their ability to supply their troops when they tried to push into the Caucasus (after the oil which they had no means of transporting to Germany anyway). The stupidity of dictators and those who massage their egos as ever, gets a lot of people killed.

I just hope the end of this brings a new hope for the people of Ukraine and Russia both.

I listen to it regularly and thought the Stalingrad week series was eye opening, but the one segment that stuck out to me was that when the Russian General turned up to lead the defence of Stalingrad after the Germans had entered the city, he turned up in a US Jeep! Literally 10 months after Pearl Harbour the US and the DUKE forces were capable of getting the lend lease equipment into the heart of the Soviet Union. Which is another lesson the Russians have chosen to ignore that like last time once the west gets started its potential & capability for delivery is incredible. It just needs the Will to do so.

This thread ignores the elephant in the room, that a Nato war with Russia in every single simulation ends in a nuclear exchange so that can not happen.Sanctions do not work against a resource based economy(IMF predicting Russian growth this year)so the regime change plan has failed and Russia has escalatory dominance on the battlefield. With 80% of fighting age males from Donetsk and Luhansk fighting against Ukraine how could these provinces ever be governed by Kiev again.
Something that is never mentioned also is that when Russia took back Crimea in 2014 they cancelled all the debt, after all it wasnt Russian banks debt it was western, basically every mortgage overdraft credit card was wiped i think this had a major effect on the middle of the road people who were not political(it actually didnt go down well in Russia).I would guess they are doing the same in all the territory they take. This means the people have a clear financial choice,i think its a smart move by the Russians as younger people were more likely to prefer the west but its also younger people who are mostly in debt.

And it’s also the younger people who have fled Russia and Crimea in their hundreds of thousands. As for 80% of fighting age men prefering to fight for Russia, I doubt that figure but those who do are probably choosing that over a bullet in the head for them or their Familly.

As for the elephant in the room how is the weather in Moscow new member?

The BBC do publish Russian casualty figures, thet do it with an anti Russian website in Latvia they dont put them on thier own .co.uk site why i dont know

What a load of tosh, they’ve lost that many tanks never mind blokes. Oryx is the widely accepted accurate documented of stats for the war (or as you and your mates call it SMO) see link

Now troll off and spread your misinformation somewhere else.

What on earth has that got to do with your previous two trolling attempts? Tangential at the best. However since you brought it up, while Gasprom has a 51% stake NordStream is owned by them and a consortium of four other European companies. Also , you lost your bet, while no one knows I suspect it was the Americans, which in no way legitimises your misinformation (lies) above.

I suppose it was only a matter of time before this thread was attacked by the likes of you (are you AI, a troll or a bot btw?)

Its not misinformation this war is an artillary war since the russians have a 7 to 1 advantage in said weapons the casualty rates will roughly correspond, how am i attacking the thread? I think you need to stop being juvenile its the truth about the debt being cancelled and the LPR andDPR armys are all Ukrainian soldiers wheres the trolling?

Do you undershow accurate Russian artillery are compared the the Ukranian military?

I dont know any details of whos guns are more accurate, but i do know that unless you have "live" feed satellite pics or actual visual drone, then its always a pot shot as troops move, those casualty figures are on yahoo also, that site i put up is BBC affiliated its banned in Russia its not misinformation.Everything i have put on this thread is true,i just simply would not put rubbish up as every week hundreds of young men with thier whole lives ahead of them are being killed and it seems to me that politicians in the west couldnt care less and can only see the prize of toppling the current russian regime.

Wow, in 4 posts you’ve gone from the amazing strength of the Russian economy to casualty figures even Russians would laugh at ( evidenced by two websites coming out of Russia apparently 🙄) to NordStream to Russian artillery. The figures and stats may even have been close to accurate on the 1st March 2022.

I’m afraid my time is too valuable to engage with this level of schyte any further, if it was in any way at a sensible level of intellect I’d be interested. As it is I’m off to a football match soon (you might know it as soccer). A north east team are playing a team from London.

I bet you still think Russia blew its own pipeline up dont tell me Hersch is russian troll hes one of the most respected journalists out there Pulitzer and many more
Hersh used to be a respected journalist once but I don't think that's the case any more.

As the article below puts it:

In recent years, however, Hersh has appeared increasingly to have gone off the rails. His stories, often alleging vast and shadowy conspiracies, have made startling — and often internally inconsistent — accusations, based on little or no proof beyond a handful of anonymous "officials."

Seymour Hersh - conspiracy theory proponent?
