The Bright Star In The Sky This morning

As it happens I’ve been out on my bike today past Uranus. Someone’s been scratching it.

Excellent knowledge. Just a quick spin out today in between errands and school pick up.

I think it was soon after it opened that I last rode that bike path at the York Rally, maybe 30 years ago when I was still living in York. I believe they had just started installing the planets.

A couple more photos I took that make me happy. There’s a lot to see. Often it’s just being in the frame of mind to notice stuff. Life is bloody busy and we miss so much.

That’s a shame - I downloaded it on Cardiff’s recommendation and it’s fab

Went on a star gazing tour in Tenerife for my 40th. Drove up the mountains to a clearing. Not sure if true but the guides explaining it is second only to Hawaii for lack of light pollution from adjacent cities, therefore the views were astonishing.

Long range telescopes were set up and you could see super novas and the such.
Could see the Milky Way stretching across the sky with a smattering of shooting stars.
Was glorious.

We had a lunar halo on the South coast last night (not my picture) ...
