Delighted Luton and Huddersfield drew. Makes tonight’s result even better. We are safe lads. No need to worry now. I know it’s not mathematical but surely we are safe. Them 3 points has done it
 
Assuming Wigan are deducted 12 points. If Charlton lose tomorrow and Barnsley dont win, I do believe that would mean we are Mathmatically safe.

Charlton v Wigan and Hull v Luton means at least 2 of them will remain more than 3 points behind us with Barnsley gone.

Charlton have 3 games to play, not 2.

If Barnsley fail to win at Leeds on Friday then they can't catch Boro. If there is a winner in the Hull v Luton game then the loser can't catch Boro. If it's a draw then neither team can catch Boro.

You'd have to think Boro won't be relegated now. Barnsley look doomed, with Luton, Hull, Wigan, Charlton and Wigan trying to avoid the other two places.

Yes, if Charlton lose tomorrow, they will be 4 points behind, if they get a result v Wigan, then Wigan cant catch us, likewise Charlton cant if Wigan win.

Any result from Hull, Luton means one or both cant catch us. Meaning after the next round of fixtures, 2 of Hull, Luton, Charlton or Wigan cant catch us.

Barnsley would need to not win tomorrow too.
 
Don’t forget Hull v Luton on saturday
If there is a winner whoever loses is down
The winners would need to win their last game and us to lose both

Hull v Luton draw keeps us up

I think these are the permutations that could relegate Boro should we lose our last two games...

Wigan beat Charlton
Wigan beat Fulham
Luton beat Hull
Luton beat Blackburn
Birmingham get a point against Preston or Derby
Huddersfield beat WBA or Millwall
Charlton beat Leeds

All of these results need to happen to relegate Boro (if we finish on 50 points).

Means we're virtually safe, as far as I can see, unless Wigan's point deduction is overturned.

Max Charlton can get is 53.
Max Wigan can get is 51.
They play each other next.
If they draw then Wigan can't catch us, if one wins then the other can't overtake us.

If Barnsley lose tomorrow then I think we're guaranteed safety, unless my maths is wrong.

Goal difference could still keep Charlton up above us, if the other results were unfortunate.
