In fairness Bernie said the exact same thing last week on his live radio show.

BTW - does anyone actually listen to Red Radio? No one ever talks about it on here. There was quite a lot of excitement about it at first.

It appears to be a sentiment echoed by many.........but the elephant in the room is........WHO made those decisions?
The answer is always to use the Commando tactic of hand grenade in, close the door and run.
Because the answer is obvious, but......

That's called hindsight, if only people knew at the time of making those decisions how they would turn out they wouldn't gave made them, but they make them with the best of intentios, its easy after the event to be critical. I don’t recall many complainers at the time about most managers and signings. Once again we have people calling for a big investment in the squad for next year and if we do and it doesn't pay off what will people say then?

Maybe so.
But decisions should also be made using foresight, which goes beyond the present and anticipates the future as accurately as possible.
Foresight and planning demands those who make and approved decisions, make themselves accountable and transparent.
Decisions aren't made in a vacuum.
Who appointed Strachan and gave him the money to spend on useless Scottish imports.
Who spaffed tens of millions to Gary Monk?
Who is expected to pay today for the bad decisions made by those with the power to make those bad decisions?
The fans.

The same man who gambled on bringing world class players to the club, for every failure there have been the ones that paid off. SG has lost his money, the club probably has a similar debt level to most clubs, I don't think our current high costs to income ratio is a result of previous excess as we are not paying any debt and as far as know SG loans have always been interest free and he doesn't take money out of the club.

I would say all the decisions would have been made with foresight, there will of course been mistakes or poor decisions like every other club, and thats when people's super power of hindsight kicks in.

We can all roll out the 16 mm projector and hand out currant cake, but it doesn't solve today's issues.
Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but it doesn't pay today's bills.
It's always the Manager who gets the sack, but never the man who does the hiring and firing.

What's yours and RF solution to the challenge of the club losing millions every year and who are you and they expecting to subsidise your football entertainment by even more then it curremtly is?
 
I remember listening to one of their pods a week or so back and one of them was saying he was fully behind the club and felt like the club was listening to the fans.

What happened?

I don't speak for Red Faction, so you`de have to ask them. It's not a relevant question about how I would manage the club's accounts, as I don't have access to the necessary information. You appear to have knowledge of the club “losing millions” and subsidies, so you are more empowered to make those judgements than I at this juncture.

It is very much a relevant question, you want to pay less thats fair enough, so make some suggestions about how this can be reasonably done in light of the financial situation whilst at the same time people are calling for spending more money on the squad and improvements to the ground.

The clubs accounts are public knowledge and have been talked about and scrutiniesd on here, many a time, if you want to you can easily find the information and give your suggested solutions or opinion. You posted a message from the red faction which is why as asked about them.
I'm not advocating for high ticket prices or price increases but interested in what people's solutions are, other than SG or someone else paying more of there own money.

I`m really not interested, because its clear you already have your mind set. Others on here will argue till the cows come home. I`ve got important appointments today.
