The "Blue Wall"...

Another nail in the Truss / Tory coffin. They're desperate to get rid of her but in doing so leave themselves wide open to the opposition calling for an immediate General Election.

Truss has no mandate whatsoever to be PM as she's pushing policy that wasnt the manifesto they were elected on.

She's poisonous to the Tory party but they're stuck with her. If it wasn't so desperately serious for 95 percent of the population it would be truly hilarious. She's as mad as a box of frogs.

They literally do not make sense
I think that they are simply taking a representative poll and extrapolating the results to show what that would mean if those results were repeated in the constituencies shown. As you say the voters in those places are highly likely to vote LibDem before Lab. That could actually make the result worse (in Tory terms)

I'm no big Truss fan, far from it, but I do feel a little sorry for her.

Getting pelters from everywhere, pushed into a job (either by others telling her she can do it, knowing full well she can't, or by her own misguided opinion of her abilities), a bit like some football managers we have had experience of.

It can't be good for her mental health, unless of course she has an extremely thick skin, or is a complete narcissist (see previous incumbent)

**** her and her mates.

They have destroyed the whole country

I can hand on heart say I don’t believe the polls

Not because we saw they were manipulated last year in the news

Or that we were told by the Guardian polls that if Jeremy backs a second referendum he will win the general election

But because these places have always turned first to the Libs before labour

They literally do not make sense

Link to that poll?

They do make sense, but obviously not if you don't want to believe that they are historically accurate.

Truss is still SDP if you ask me. They have played the very finest example of playing the long game.

I must admit I share some of your sentiments and but then I think of the people who are facing greater hikes in their mortgage payments than is necessary in normal market conditions. I think of her comments about Macron during her campaign. Her almost instantly abandoned threat to regionalise public service pay. These are just a few of the examples why she should be nowhere the H of P let alone 10 Downing Street.

There's probably multiple polls the guardian showed the same result

It won the 2019 fringe comedy joke of the year award

*no idea if it did but it should

Link doesn't work, but the url says by backing Brexit not a second referendum as you stated, unless the link isn't complete.

Either way, that was 2018. Public opinion on Brexit changed massively by the time of the 2019 election and the paralysis of the government. People were sick of it and the Tories seized on that.

I agree, is she seen as a useful idiot by lots of people who just want to make money?

I just wonder if she is thick skinned, knows how bad she is but is just power mad or actually believes what others are telling her? If so, when she inevitably fails (and it will be sooner rather than later) it may come as a shock to her how bad she actually was?

They so make sense across the country. Down here I am seeing true blue Tories literally throwing up their arms and saying thats enough.

I don’t think I’m allowed to post a Guardian link

Never mind I don’t think labour will win a overall majority anyway so never mind

You don't think Labour will win so you don't believe the polls or think they make sense?

If you can think of something that will happen between now and the next election that will somehow give them a hung parliament, you should let them know. Right now, I don't think 28% of Tory MP's would vote Tory.

I can't agree with this. She knew what she was getting into. Like Johnson before her being known as a PM is more important to her than acting like a PM. If she suffers from it, then fine yiu reap what you sow
