The blame for today’s result rests squarely on…..

my shoulders.

Backed us didn’t I. At 19/20.

I never ever ever ever back us for this very reason! The impact it invariably has on the result.

Sorry everyone. I promise I’ll be back on tip-top no-backing form next Saturday, and we can all hopefully look forward to a great 3 points 👍.

I understand if I receive some abuse for this. In some circumstances it just has to be accepted.

Don’t worry. This is the first time I haven’t backed the Boro to finish in the top three in the Championship (Win the league, EW). We are going up! (y)

I wasn’t there.. sorry. It’s totes on me tbf

Sorry to break it to you Atypical, but you are not even on the list as to why we lost. We lost because we have invested in potential rather than proven quality. It was like going to the zoo looking forward to seeing the tigers and lions and finding out the dentist had been the previous day and removed all their teeth.

We lacked pace, tempo, quality, their keeper was tested less than your average 3 year old car. Loads of possession, but toothless with it, no urgency, creativity, running off the ball was non existent, it was light years away from the football witnessed last season.

I am sure Michael Carrick hasn’t factored in your bet into his pre-season planning and when he reads your thread will be in touch to ‘have a word’ but rest easy with the fact there are 1001 reasons before your misjudgement. The evidence was there to see in pre-season as to the causes of this defeat, the biggest question is will Scott, Bausor and the comfy Mr Gibson Gibson look for and recognise the cluesies? Will it be a few weeks of searching for the missing links and delivering or thinking well, let’s look like we know what we are doing but then signing the new Guedioura on deadline day?

That's ok I can sympathize, I'm also not backing us again this season, it's bad enough watching us get beat to an average Millwall team, but losing money as well is a double whammy.

£20.00 five fold...
Stoke 13/20 W
Plymouth 5/4 W
Watford 10/11 W
Barnsley 3/4 W
Boro

Wow that’s infuriating. But yeah, a valuable lesson learned.

I can’t let you take all the blame for this loss, I bought the radio package and we always get beat if I listen on the radio. 😜

Another one.

Mate has more holidays than Judith Chalmers.

Every time Boro play, and he is out of the country, we don't win.

Current run -

He's definitely taking some of the responsibility 👍

Maybe we should spend more of the transfer budget on lucky charms. I suspect Steve McClaren’s unwashed undies would be available for less than a new centre forward.
