The best performance from a football team.. ever

Whats the greatest performance you've seen from a team in your lifetime?
It doesn't have to be in the flesh, it likely won't have been anyway!

I'm too young to remember Brazil from 1970 but one performance that sticks in my mind is Barcelona's 5-0 demolition of Real Madrid under Guardiola. Messi, Xavi and Iniesta were untouchable and its hard to imagine many teams in history living with them that night.

Its virtually the same Barcelona team that gave Man Utd a football lesson at Wembley in the Champions league final which was another great team performance.
 
30th July 1966 Wembley 4-2. Didn’t see it at the time as I was ill, never bothered watching it until about 15 years ago when it happened to be on. What a cracking game that was, absolute end to end stuff.

I remember that Barcelona performance against Real. I was glued to the TV for the whole 90 minutes.

I don't think we'll see a more complete first 11 ever than that Barcelona. It had everything and played the best football I've ever seen.
 
Barcelona under Pep were the best team I've known in my lifetime. They just dominated everyone they played. We marvelled at how good the teams were in the PL until they faced them and couldn't get the ball off them and were pretty much having to defend the whole game. As for one game that sticks out...not sure...they seemed to batter everyone.

I was thinking that game as well. Germany were ruthless but Brazil were woeful!

Leicester away in 97 for me, it genuinely could have been 8-0 at half time. Unfortunately this was about 2 weeks before the Coca-Cola cup final and revealed the necessity to man mark Juninho which Pontus Kamark did admirably. If not for this game I reckon we'd have beaten them comfortably in the final

Big Jacks team 1974
Literally could have been 0-10
Best performance I’ve ever seen from a Boro team.
Beat Fulham away 0-4 four days later for good measure.
Was at that Spurs game as well and it was mighty impressive but the West Brom performance shaded it for me.
