The best parmo in the Boro

Over 60 and I don't think I have ever had one, had bits off the edge after people asked me to try.

We used to go to the Europa when it was the last stopping point, but I am sure mine was the £3 spaghetti with a drink.

The Divine Greek is the best takeaway parmo around, but that's Thornaby and they don't deliver.

We had one from The Village Bar and Grill on Linthorpe Road a couple of months back and it was a good one too.

I second the VB&G, always a decent one from there especially their chinese parmo.

Had one from central park recently and it was decent.

On a serious note where's best to eat on Saturday before the game. I've not been to Middlesbrough since February 2020so I have no idea what is still open/operating (TA is pretty fcuking useless). Not for a Parma but a decent lunch.

btw. I'd rather not have to walk up to the @r$e end of Linny Road either.

Good q, I wouldn't know where to go for a proper meal.
Is that new posh stake place opposite the town hall any good?

I've had a couple of very good meals in The Zetland, but not for quite a while now obviously. I'm sure i'll eat there again next time I'm up.

If you are looking for decent pub food vibe try The Chairman on Bedford street.

There is a place next door (Bedford social I think) that does food but I haven’t tried it.

Decent beers round there too 👍🏼

I like Manjaro's, seems to be one of the only places that can keep the chicken crispy, and they don't go mental on the béch, it's also not congealed crap.

I don't bother with take-away parmos anymore though, they're often **** as the "chef" is 5 miles away with next to no accountability. Sloppy chicken, too much béch (which is also crap), and soggy chips, sweaty salad, bork.

I thought the Europa was bang average too, back in the day, I think it had a decent rep as people used to go in at 1am after a skinfull. Could have fed people anything and they would have thought it was decent.

Has anyone tried the Prickly Pear Bistro parmos in the former Tad Centre on near Berwick Hills baths?Quite expensive for a takeaway parmo with prices around the £14 to £16 mark but they do about 35 variations based on food from different parts of the world.
I've never tried one but will get around to it at some point. They have lots of other menus too, including vegan.

menus
Parmos.

I've been there a couple of times, the parmos are lovely but I'd say they're probably too expensive for what they are and where it is.

Had the Shawarmo and the Wicker Man.

Zetland looks good. I'll probably save that for a day when the Mrs takes me through. Treat her as well.

Probably where I'll head to. As you say decent beers. I just wasn't sure what was still open.(y)
