The Ashes - TEST 2

There was a time when we had a spate of streakers running onto sports pitches and then the media decided to ignore them, I think we need to stop giving these protestors the attention they seek and when the coverage of their protests stops, they just might move on.

I didn't mind the odd Erica Roe.

Brother tells me they didn't show any of it on Australian tv coverage.

So Cricket is fair game for Just Stop oil, yet Glastonbury, and other music festivals get a free pass? The hypocrisy is astounding.

Probably beneficial for England this break for rain.
Just as Aussie openers were looking more comfortable. A little break in the game might help unsettle them again.

I thought it was going to be one of those 3-8 in the first 10 overs type of tosses to win.
I'm sure that's what we were hoping for but no need to panic. The pitch is doing a bit and wickets could fall quickly. Could easily go from 25-0 to 30-3 in a short period of time. It's not like they are scoring freely.

If they are at 150-0 at the end of the second session, then I'll start to panic.

Not sure what point you are making here. Glastonbury promotes green policies. Why would you want to disrupt it. in fact there was a debate about usage of oil in the Left Field tent.
The impact of disrupting something like a headline act at the world's biggest music festival would be far greater than a cricket match. Same goes for the snooker.

Glastonbury can promote green policies all it wants, but the thousands of vehicles used to get there and back, not to mention the dozens of helicopters ferrying people in and out, totally negates that promotion. Then there's the tonnes and tonnes of non-reusable, or non-recyclable, waste left behind.

I totally agree with you but cannot see how they could get past the security and onto the stage. The disruption would have to happen holding traffic going in. If they did it in the crowd a large percentage would put it down to the drugs they had taken.
