I remember Rioch saying or writing somewhere that ‘it’s good for football but especially good for us here at Middlesbrough Football Club that we can fill our stadium to capacity.’

Bruce used to make the hairs on the back of my kneck stand up, I think even the fans at the time would have run through brick walls for him never mind the players…

I was listening to a thing Drury did on the 86 squad recently on BBC tees and sir Bruce speaking made me well up, he is just such an inspirational brilliant man.
