I loved the way the 3 Norwich players were just stood there gobsmacked while Akpom had the presence of mind to be off wide to support Jones and deliver that pin-point cross for Crooks.

That’s the best bit, doesn’t just do a Ronaldo and stand there admiring himself. Fantastic work ethic and ball into the most dangerous area.

Gotta say, Riley McGree’s finish was filthy as well. He does score unorthodox screamers doesn’t he.

Fair play to the bloke. I was very critical of him for most of his time with us but he’s making me look a right mug. But I’ll take that all day, every day if if it means he plays like this and the Boro keep picking up points.

I think that’s the best I’ve seen us play in years. You can see the confidence flowing back into the whole team. I’ve said before a good manager can make an average player look good, and a good player look fantastic, well Carrick is looking like he could be an excellent manager in the making already after just a handful of games. He’s obviously taken everything in from the people he’s played under and carrying it out as a manager himself

Add in MCs utter calmness (which he showed as a player too) and his seeming self belief and the players pick up on this and belief starts to really grow!
